NTA Releases Revised Examination Calendar for UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET December 2026
If you are gearing up for the December 2026 eligibility tests, here’s news you will want to read right away. The National Testing Agency has changed the dates for both UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET.
You might need to make some changes to your study plan.
New Dates for December 2026 Exam
1. What Has Changed in the UGC NET Schedule
UGC NET was earlier set to run from December 14 to 19. Now the agency has dropped December 19 and added December 21 instead.
So you will appear between December 14 and 18 or on December 21.
2. New Dates for CSIR UGC NET
The CSIR UGC NET also got a fresh timetable. The exam was earlier planned for December 20 and 21.
NTA will now hold it on December 19, 22, and 27.
Notice that the two exams were moved in different ways.
How to Handle the Change Calmly
Do not panic. You only need a few small tweaks. Update your study calendar with the new dates first.
Then check where you stand in each subject and give your shaky topics a fixed slot every week. Mock tests will also show your repeated mistakes.
Tips for CSIR NET Candidates
If you are appearing for CSIR NET Mathematics, check your subject date in the official notice before you plan anything.
Once you know it, spend your remaining weeks on Linear Algebra, Real Analysis and Complex Analysis, then solve previous years' papers under a timer. Practice matters more than reading in this subject. Besides, a daily set of problems builds speed and confidence.
Rely on official NTA notices for admit cards and city details. Sleep well and stick to a steady routine.
